CUTLER – The Fireman’s Fund of Chicago plans to present the town’s volunteer fire department with a $30,000 check at 11 a.m. today at the town office.
The Fire Department was able to purchase turnout gear, Scott Airpacks, a rescue saw, radios and an air compressor as a result of the generosity of the insurance agency.
“Every resident of the town is a beneficiary of our firefighters’ volunteers efforts with lower homeowner premiums and safety,” Josie Kord of the Winter Harbor Agency in Gouldsboro said.
