PITTSFIELD – Town officials lifted a boil-water order Friday.

The order had been in effect after a 10-inch water main on Main Street broke Wednesday afternoon. It then triggered two other breaks nearby.

Most residents were without water for much of Thursday but the flow was turned back on in early afternoon.

Town officials said all repairs have been made and the two water tanks have recharged.
