Outlook: The Black Bears will try to build on the momentum of an offensive explosion against a Division III opponent and avenge last season’s loss to the Raiders. Colgate is trying to snap a five-game losing streak. The Bears need to continue to attack the glass. They’re averaging 36.5 rebounds per game while Colgate is averaging 28.6. The Raiders are shooting 40.5 percent from the floor to Maine’s 45.0. Maine’s biggest advantage may be in the backcourt as the Bears’ guards are bigger. The Raiders have a sizeable frontcourt, but their only big rebounder is Woodhouse. Turnovers will also be a key statistic as Maine is averaging 15.1 a game to Colgate’s 14.9.
