STONINGTON – “A Christmas Carol” will be performed Dec. 20 and 21 at the Opera House as readers’ theater.
Community actors will perform, including Sedgwick actor and cabinetmaker Bob Burke, who will portray Scrooge. French button accordion player Gary Chapin, a teacher in Farmingdale, will perform.
“Finding ourselves in difficult financial times makes Dickens’ tale of the true spirit of Christmas even more moving,” Judith Jerome, the artistic director of the opera house, said in a press release. “The magic of live theater is often in bringing people together to celebrate family and community.”
“A Christmas Carol” will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, and at 3 and 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children under 17.
