Keezer sparks Orono to win

ORONO – Jade Keezer scored 10 of her game-high 12 points in the first half as Orono built a 12-point halftime lead en route to a 41-27 schoolgirl basketball win over the Dexter Tigers Monday night.

Sarah Thibeault and Ally Sherman had nine points apiece and Elizabeth Fox had eight for the Tigers.

Raven Patterson (seven), Miranda Gove (six) and Crissy Mountain (six) combined for 19 Dexter points.

At Machias, Ty Richards scored a game-high 15 points and Matt Little had 13 points and 18 rebounds as Machias triumphed.

Richards had eight points in the second quarter as Machias outscored Calvary Chapel of Orrington 25-8.

T.J. Spencer had 11 points and Noah Prescott chipped in 10 more for the winners.

Luke Martin’s 10 points and Zac Austin’s eight paced Calvary Chapel.
