Transportation group plans air travel forum

ORONO – The Maine Better Transportation Association will host a program Thursday evening at the Best Western Black Bear Inn titled “Flight Plan: Weathering Turbulence and Finding Opportunity in the Passenger Air Travel Market.” The program begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Rebecca Hupp, director of the Bangor International Airport, and Gregory Hughes, marketing manager for the Portland International Jetport, will be the program speakers. They will discuss the state of the industry, federal funding for passenger air travel and projects each airport has on the boards.

The program will be preceded by a reception at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.

The Maine Better Transportation Association is a statewide coalition of more than 700 members committed to increased funding for the state’s multimodal transportation network. For information, contact the MBTA at 622-0526 or 592-0227.
