PI girls finish 14-0

CARIBOU – Katie Delong scored a goal and assisted another to help lead Presque Isle to a 4-0 win over rival Caribou and an undefeated regular season.

Jessica Currier, Angela Norsworthy, and Kylan Smith each added a goal for 14-0 Presque Isle. Molly Hamel made three saves on six shots.

Billie Martin stopped 14 of 22 shots for 5-5-3 Caribou.

JV: Presque Isle 2-0

So. Aroostook 3, CAHS 0

At Dyer Brook, Mindy Watson scored a pair of first-half goals and Kaylea Collier added an insurance goal in the second half as Southern Aroostook shut down Central Aroostook.

Audrey Charette made 22 saves on 25 shots for the 9-4 Warriors while Rachel Graves made 16 stops on 27 shots for the 1-9-2 Panthers of Mars Hill.

Madawaska 2, Van Buren 0

At Van Buren, Ashley Cyr and Beth Gerard each scored a goal to help the Owls improve to 7-3-3.

Kelly Chasse assisted on Cyr’s goal. Liz LaPlante made three saves on six shots.

Trisha Gagnon and Lisa Levasseur combined for seven saves on 12 shots as the Crusaders moved to 6-6-1.

Woodland 3, Calais 2

At Woodland, Tabitha Hagenaars scored on a penalty kick with 15:09 left to break a tie and lift the Dragons past the rival Blue Devils.

Hagenaars also scored in the first half off an assist from Heidi Graceffa. Gena Clark hooked up with Jillian Noyes and Melissa Carter for 6-7 Woodland’s second goal. Cynthia Bergin made 12 saves on 16 shots.

Danielle Feck and Emily Smith each had an unassisted goal as 5-7-2 Calais tried to rally. Stephanie Perry made seven saves on 10 shots.

Boys soccer

SAHS 4, CAHS 1

At Dyer Brook, Travis Brooker tallied two goals and an assist as the Warriors rolled to the win.

Evan McGary and Tom St. Pierre each chipped in with a goal for 12-1 Southern Aroostook. Jeff Boutilier made 18 saves on 19 shots.

Erik Smith scored for the Panthers of Mars Hill and Jon Bird stopped 14 of 20 shots.

Fort Fairfield 3, Limestone 1

At Fort Fairfield, Brock Kilcollins scored two goals as the Tigers held off the Eagles.

Cody Clousson added a goal for 5-8 Fort Fairfield and Billy Scull stopped 14 of 21 shots.

Tom Chartrand scored a first-half goal for 4-9-1 Limestone/MSSM and Addison Rossignol made 12 saves on 22 shots.

Narraguagus 3, Jonesport-Beals 2

At Jonesport, Cory Worcester scored with 2:15 left in the second overtime as the Knights of Harrington tipped the Royals.

Worcester also scored 35 seconds into the game and Brandon Meserve added a goal for 2-10-1 Narraguagus. Josh Look stopped 19 of 25 shots.

Peter Barton scored in the second half to tie the game at 2-2 and send it to overtime. James Kelley had a goal 4:43 into the second half and Dean Faulkingham made seven saves on 10 shots for 1-11 Jonesport-Beals.

Machias 2, Washington Acad. 0

At Machias, Marcus Frutchey saved all six shots he faced to notch his 10th shutout of the season and lead the unbeaten Bulldogs past Washington Academy of East Machias.

Chase Ross and Patrick McDonald each scored a goal for the 12-0 Bulldogs. James McCarthy had an assist in the regular season finale.

Jeremy Gray made five saves on 14 shots for the 11-2 Raiders.

GSA 0, Ellsworth 0 (2OT)

At Blue Hill, Collin Henry made 15 saves on 17 shots to help preserve a 0-0 tie after two overtimes for 10-2-1 George Stevens Academy.

Cory Smith stopped six of 10 shots for 11-1-2 Ellsworth.

DI-Stonington 2, Sumner 1 (OT)

At Deer Isle, Nick Ciomei scored the game-winner off an assist from his brother, Collin Ciomei, with 35 seconds left in double overtime as the Mariners tipped the Tigers.

Nick Ciomei scored a first-half goal off an assist from Robbie Brown to give 6-7 DI-Stonington an early lead. Joey Ossane tied it for 1-12-1 Sumner of East Sullivan in the second half.

Thomas Robbins made 10 saves on 11 shots for the Mariners. Mason Young stopped 19 of 21 shots for the Tigers.
