OT’s Tyler, FA’s Gilbert power teams to victories

OLD TOWN – Jeremy Tyler ran for 261 yards on 20 carries and scored three touchdowns to help lead the Hampden Academy Broncos to a 32-7 high school football victory over the Old Town Indians Saturday.

Som Ratsakonsy had a 3-yard run to score a touchdown for Hampden and had eight tackles, five assists, and a sack on defense. Chris Morris completed a 12-yard touchdown pass from Chris Pease. Jon Cirrinone had three carries for 45 yards and had an interception. Ben Toothaker had five tackles, two assists, two sacks, and forced a fumble.

Jarrett Lukas completed a 35- yard pass to Logan Bouchard in the second quarter for Old Town’s touchdown.

Foxcroft Academy 57, Dexter 6

At Dexter, Bobby Gilbert ran for 300 yards on 26 carries and scored six touchdowns, setting a school record for touchdowns in a season, as the Ponies rolled to the win.

Gilbert has now scored 31 touchdowns this year.

Brad Bellemare scored Foxcroft’s final touchdown and kicked five extra points. James McPhee added a TD on a 73-yard run. Foxcroft tallied 558 rushing yards.

Dexter scored on Mark Pullen’s 84-yard kickoff return in the first quarter.
