Righteous have spoken

One news commentator said on CNN: “For the first time today, I got a glimpse of who Sen. John Kerry really is, during his concession speech.” That revelation was absent during the campaign. How sad.

It is the first time in many years that the righteous came out and made themselves known.

Bush put on a full-court press to church-goers. His message was, the country is in need of rebirth, morally, spiritually, socially, and it is up to you people to change it. They have spoken.

They got up from their church pews, with children in hand, they hiked, walked or got to the polls however they could. They have sent a message; a message that will be felt for some time to come.

It used to be in politics that the governing body made decisions based on the well-being of the next seven generations. That has not existed in America for a long time.

The righteous have spoken. They want a government that will act in a way to benefit the next seven generations. Just as the biblical passage states: “… And the sins of the parents will be visited upon the fifth generation.” Today’s parents want the good acts of government to be visited on the fifth generation.

Let us all hope that in the next four years, some of the missing decency, honor and good work will come forth. It is overdue.
