Bucks shut out Lynx; Indians upset Cougars

BUCKSPORT – Nick Tymoczko rushed for 209 yards on 32 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead No. 1 Bucksport past No. 4 Mattanawcook Academy 22-0 in an LTC Class C semifinal in high school football action Friday night.

John Harvey ran 16 yards to score a first-quarter touchdown for the Golden Bucks. Joey Carmichael completed a 10-yard pass and rushed for a two-point conversion.

Bucksport had 249 yards of offense.

Duncan Markie had 21 carries for 80 yards for the Lynx of Lincoln. Mattanawcook had 169 yards of offense, all rushing.

At Farmington, Aaron Chambers rushed for 87 yards and scored two touchdowns to push No. 7 Skowhegan past No. 3 Mt. Blue in PTC semifinal action.

Chambers’ first score came when he recovered a fumble and ran it back 87 yards.

Mike Lacasse had a 1-yard TD rush for Skowhegan and Jason Lisherness ran for 35 yards and had a two-point conversion. Tom Jenness had 45 rushing yards.

Skowhegan had 199 yards on the ground.

Jordan Stevens rushed for 52 yards for Mt. Blue, which had 135 yards of offense.
