Fitzmaurice lifts EMCC to victory

BANGOR – Jessica Fitzmaurice scored 24 points and Jessica Trundy added 11 as Eastern Maine Community College earned a 58-52 win over Southern Maine CC of South Portland Tuesday night.

Katie Harris added three 3-point goals for nine points for the 2-1 Golden Eagles.

At Unity, Ashley Swett scored 23 points as Central Maine Community College of Auburn earned the victory.

Nicole Hutchinson added 12 points for the winners, while Katherine Vincent scored 11 and Sarah Anderson had 10.

Lyndsey Smith paced Unity with 12 points, while Christine Blakesly scored 11.

Christina Rich scored 13 points, Sara Ricker and Ashten Smith posted 11 points each, while Kelly Welles and Caitlin Heller added 10 apiece.

Amanda Pepin poured in a game-high 32 points for UMaine-Augusta. Danielle Duval netted 10.

Jeremy Kervin had a game-high 27 points along with 12 rebounds and four assists for the Rams. Tyler Ferguson scored 10 and added eight boards, while Jared Erskine had 12 points Bruce Currie contributed 10 points.

Jeremiah Johnson paced a balanced UMaine-Machias offense with 18 points. Joel Davila scored 17, A.J. Morgan netted 15, Phil Munro provided 14 and Gary Dussard added 12.

Coop Nickerson led UMaine-Augusta with a game-high 25 points.
