EAST MILLINOCKET – Police are investigating a weekend burglary at a home on Route 157 in which a weapon and $250 cash were reported stolen.

A relative of the homeowner reported at 8:30 a.m. Saturday that he went to the house to check on it and found an open door, police said.

Upon inspection, police and the relative discovered the items were missing. Police declined to say what kind of weapon was stolen.

The investigation is continuing.
