BREWER – Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter Bill Chinnock and his Band will perform a holiday season concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Brewer Middle School auditorium, 5 Somerset St. The evening will include songs from Chinnock’s latest album, some of his classic compositions and several holiday songs. Special guests at the concert will be singer Janice Pendarvis and Maine’s own Jess Tardy.
A portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to Manna Ministries for the purpose of providing Christmas dinners to families who need “a little help from their friends.” A representative from Manna will be present at the show – and perhaps even an old fellow with a long white beard.
Ticket holders who bring canned goods and other nonperishable food donations to the concert will receive a signed poster from Chinnock and the guest artists.
Janice Pendarvis has sung with many artists, including Sting, Roberta Flack, The Rolling Stones, and Barry White.
Jess Tardy, a newcomer to Nashville, recently released her second album, “Hold On.”
Chinnock moved to Maine in the early 1970s and became known as “The Legend of the North Country.” He has just released his 10th album, “Livin’ in the Promised Land.”
Concert tickets are $17.50 and are available at The Grasshopper Shop and Bull Moose Music in Bangor. Tickets at the door will be $20.
