The Maine Baseball Hall of Fame is soliciting nominations until Dec. 10 for its 2005 induction class.
Founded in 1969, the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame is committed to recognizing players, coaches, umpires, organizers, and benefactors who have achieved prominence or made significant contributions to baseball in Maine.
Past inductees have included President George H.W. Bush, author Stephen King, semipro league founder Neil Corbett of Cutler, and major league pitcher Billy Swift of South Portland.
