Courtney Wright of Ellsworth won first places on two events and finished second overall in the Northeast Regional Gymnastics Championships in Cortland, N.Y. May 6.

Wright, a 12-year-old Level 7 gymnast out of the Bangor YMCA and the Penobscot Valley School of Gymnastics, was first on the floor with a score of 9.6 and won the balance beam with a 9.55. Those wins helped her place second in the all-around with a score of 37.05.
