Warner Nickerson of Colby College in Waterville placed fourth in the Super G and ninth in the downhill last weekend during the FIS World University Games at Inssbruck, Austria.

The senior from Tilton, N.H., was the top American finisher in the Super G, 1.81 seconds behind the winning time. He was the second U.S. finisher in the downhill.

Nickerson will compete in the giant slalom Wednesday and the slalom on Friday.
