Trio of scorers help Sabers rattle ‘Cats Bradford, Miller, Astle score 23 apiece

RICHMOND – Three Calvary Chapel players each scored 23 points to lead the Sabers to a 75-66 boys basketball victory over Richmond here Thursday.

Brock Bradford, Bryan Miller and Mike Astle led Calvary Chapel.

Glendon Kendrick had a game-high 29 points, including 23 in the second half. Billy Milne added 11 for Richmond.

At Bingham, Travis Hovey scored 11 of his game-high 19 points in the second quarter as Valley outscored Averill of Hinkley 25-3 to break the game open.

Hovey had seven rebounds to go with his 19 points. Stefan Staples had 12 points and Eric Hatfield scored 10 more.

Joe Hart and Shawn Staples combined for 17 points for Averill and David Arnold had seven more.
