Haller sparks Limestone Beaulieu, Peers help Eagles record ninth victory

EASTON – Anna Haller netted 22 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Limestone Eagles to a 57-47 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Easton Bears Saturday.

Lindsey Beaulieu and Julie Peers each scored 11 points for Limestone, which trailed by four points at halftime.

Nina Alexander paced the Bears with 23 points. Kassie Lovely chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds.

Ryan Brewer and Sam Carter each provided two assists and Tyler Hutchinson added one to back Aaron Fitzpatrick, who made 26 saves on 28 shots.

Zac Greenier scored both goals for 5-6 John Bapst of Bangor. Brian Leighton and Alex Yates had an assist each. Nate Kuneman made 29 saves on 35.

At the Fourm in Presque Isle, Matt Bickford scored off a pass from Dan Bickford one minute into the third period to cap a Winslow rally.

The Black Raiders, now 9-3-1, trailed 3-0 in the second period.

Brian Poulin and Andy Wheeler each scored unassisted for Winslow. Devon Grenier made nine saves on 12 shots.

Brad Baker and Erik St. Peter each had a goal plus an assist for the 6-4-2 Wildcats and Brandon Daigle added a goal. Brendon Esquibel made 50 saves on 53 shots.
