BREWER – A cross country skier was found dead Wednesday night in the woods by the Brewer airport. Police said the man’s death did not appear suspicious although they and the State Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.

Called to the airport shortly after 6 p.m., Brewer firefighters and police spent the next few hours in the cold assessing the situation, Brewer police Sgt. Chris Martin confirmed. The dead man’s name was not released pending notification of relatives. The Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to determine the cause of death.
