Shakespeare and LNG

Regarding the article, “LNG firm, tribe offer town tax deal” (BDN, March 8).

As heartwarming as it is to learn that some time-honored political traditions of our country are still alive and well, the offer by those who would impose a liquefied natural gas plant in our midst to buy the vote in Perry is not reassuring.

With apologies to William Shakespeare: “That which we call a bribe by any other name would smell as foul.”
