Neighbors of a Bangor man told police late Thursday night that he had been unruly, again.
When police arrived at the Court Street apartment building they spoke to a neighbor and then to the subject of the call, Robert Westhoff, 49, who Bangor police Officer Wade Betters said had fresh cuts on his arms. Westhoff admitted to being drunk and breaking a window in his apartment.
Westhoff continued to be boisterous with police, at times shouting at Betters who eventually arrested the man on a charge of disorderly conduct. A neighbor reported that one day earlier he had called police about the same thing and that Westhoff had been taken into custody then as well. Westhoff, himself, acknowledged the earlier arrest.
A Bangor man who left Club Gemini in Bangor disgruntled because he was refused entry late Thursday night, was found a short time later by a Bangor police officer who arrested him on a drunken driving charge.
An employee of the Bangor club called police late Thursday night to report that he had recognized Nathan Dow, 19, as the man who tried to get in using a fake ID two weeks earlier and rebuffed him again. Given a description and license plate of Dow’s truck, Bangor police Officer Steve Jordan located Dow and stopped him on Center Street.
After field sobriety tests, Jordan arrested Dow and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, and also charged him with having two fake IDs.
Returning from a road trip, three teenagers decided to hit the Bangor Mall where they ended up taking another road trip, this time in the custody of police.
The three took nearly $200 in clothing and items from several stores, although it was at J.C. Penney that they were caught. An employee there told Bangor police Officer Kerry Libby that they took some clothing into the changing rooms and put them on and tried to leave.
Holly-Ann Burke, 18, of Lincoln was summoned on a charge of theft, while the other two, a 16-year-old from Mattawamkeag and a 15-year-old from Lincoln, were taken to the police station, processed and turned over to their parents, Libby reported.
The stolen items included pants, shirts, lotion, two bras and a pair of socks.
