The Bangor Lumberjacks have signed second baseman Jason Startari, who played in the independent Frontier League last year. The 24-year-old Pittsburgh native, who also plays shortstop and third base, batted .224 with a .313 on-base percentage, but was a defensive standout with a .964 fielding percentage. This will be Startari’s fourth professional season.
