Chubbuck takes pro stock at 95

At Speedway 95 in Hermon Sunday, Scott Chubbuck of Wiscasset won the 50-lap Partnership for a Tobacco Free Maine pro stock feature from his pole starting position.

The win wasn’t an easy one, however, as the race was stopped six times for single car spins or accidents. As a result, Chubbuck and Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs swapped the lead on every restart. The last one, with 14 laps to go, settled the battle as Chubbock grabbed the lead and pulled Aaron St. Peter of Brewer with him past Seekins on the inside. Seekins then had all he could do to hang onto third ahead of Mike Thomas of Etna (fourth) and John Phippen of Bar Harbor (fifth) were right on his bumper. Eighteen cars started and finished the race.
