PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Authorities have charged a 23-year-old Maine man with raping a minor. Police said Lee Silva of Sangerville, Maine, was arrested at a Newington construction site Saturday morning. They say the assault occurred earlier that morning at a Portsmouth hotel. Silva appeared in Portsmouth District Court Tuesday for his initial appearance. New Hampshire officials said Silva knew the victim, but did not disclose their relationship. Silva was charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and was ordered held on $10,000 bail. He was taken to Rockingham County Jail.
