Orrington, Bangor teams, Glenburn win

ORRINGTON – Bangor West, Orrington, Bangor East, and Glenburn each posted Little League All-Star softball victories for ages 11-12 in games played Sunday.

Bangor West defeated Old Town 14-5, Orrington beat Lincoln 13-6, Bangor East stopped Old Town 15-4, and Glenburn edged Lincoln 12-11.

District 3, ages 11-12

At Orrington, Bangor West took advantage of Old Town walks to earn the win.

Kim Jordan, Julie Clifford and Kami Prendergast each singled for Bangor West.

Sabrina Jordan had a single and a double for Old Town.

Orrington 13, Lincoln 6

At Orrington, Laura Jordan struck out 13 in five innings and reliever Kelsey Simpson fanned three in one inning to combined on a no-hitter for Orrington.

Jordan and Simpson also had a single apiece along with Emily Cox.

Brittany Libby scored two runs for Lincoln, which drew 12 walks.

Bangor East 15, Old Town 4

At Orrington, Sadie Redman doubled as Bangor East rolled to the win.

Taylor Lewis added two singles for Bangor East.

Riley Mahan hit two singles for Old Town.

Glenburn 12, Lincoln 11

At Orrington, Brianna Speed and Jessie Bradford each hit an RBI single in the top of the fifth as Glenburn held off Lincoln.

Riley Boyle singled and drove in two runs for Glenburn and Jessie Devou added an RBI single.

Brooke Kimball, Brittany Libby and Morgan Russell each singled for Lincoln.

At the 13th Street Complex in Bangor, Taylor Gardner rapped four singles as Lincoln outslugged Old Town.

Mikaila Bisson and Kelsey Stewart each added two singles apiece for Lincoln.

Kendra Hayward powered Old Town with a home run and three singles, while Susie Outman hit a homer and a single. Nicole McDougal added three singles.

Orono-Veazie 19, Glenburn 18

At the 13th Street Complex in Bangor, Kayla Marquis homered, doubled and singled to power Orono-Veazie to the win.

Bridget Vinal hit a double and three singles, while Katarina Howland chipped in with a double and two singles.

Elise Tilton led Glenburn with a triple, a double and three singles. Olivia Dahlbergh tripled and hit two doubles and Katie Blanchard had three singles.
