Violette, Brewer oust Bangor West

HAMPDEN – Zach Violette slapped a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Brewer District 3 9-10 All-Star team rallied from a 4-0 deficit for a 6-5 victory over Bangor West in an elimination game Thursday.

Kyle Alexander added two singles and an RBI for Brewer.

Tyler Laplante hit an RBI triple in the top of the sixth for Bangor West while Galen Perry, Jackson Koch and Tyler Kenny each singled.

Ellsworth 11, Coastal 7

At Deer Isle, Riley Dewitt knocked a two-run triple as Ellsworth prevailed.

Fowler Davis had two singles and three RBIs for the winners and Brandon Braley three singles.

Sam Grindle notched three singles and plated two runs for Coastal.

At Harrington, Sam Stewart tallied a two-run double and two-run single as Sunrise rolled in five innings.

Matt Boyle smacked a two-run double for the winners and Mickey Manning added two singles and an RBI.

Tyler Salsbury doubled twice and plated two runs for Ellsworth and Pat Kelley hit an RBI double.

At Bangor, Bangor scored 13 runs in the first inning, sending 19 batters to the plate en route to the win.

Ryan LaRochelle tallied two doubles, a single and two RBIs and Lonnie Hackett an RBI double and single. Jordan Clakre added an RBI double and RBI single.

Nick Pooler had two singles and an RBI for Holbrook.

The second game between Brewer and Glenburn was suspended in the fifth inning with Brewer leading 2-1. The game be finished Saturday at 1 p.m.

At Old Town, Hannah Morin pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts for Old Town in the win.

Hillary Campbell hit an RBI double while Whitney Leland and Mallory Emerson each singled for the winners.

Megan Sherwood singled for Glenburn.
