Neighborly disagreements took a bizarre turn this week when a Bangor man told police his upstairs neighbor’s sister chest-butted him, grabbed him by the throat and later exposed her buttocks to him and others.
One day before this confrontation, the upstairs neighbor had been asked to move some bicycles that had been in the hallway where they may have posed a hazard.
The bikes were moved outside of the downstairs neighbor’s doorway, Bangor police Officer Russell Twaddell was told.
It got worse on Thursday when the Grove Street resident’s sister, Cheryl Landry, 41, came over and at one point chest-butted the man, who lived in the apartment with his girlfriend and her daughter, the man told police.
She also grabbed his throat and said she was going to kill him, but he managed to push past her, the man said.
Landry left with the bicycles in her car’s trunk, but not before exposing her buttocks to those at the apartment, including the 9-year-old girl, according to the police report.
Twaddell summoned Landry on charges of assault and public indecency, although Landry denied exposing herself and claimed she was the one assaulted.
A Bangor woman eluded a Bangor police officer once Wednesday but not a second time and she ended up in custody.
Crystal Delosa, 21, drove past a Bangor police officer on bike patrol about 5 p.m. even though her license is suspended. Bangor police Officer Shawn Green gave chase and followed her in traffic but lost her on Fourth Street, he reported.
He found the car she had been driving parked in a driveway, although a search of the area turned up nothing, the officer said.
About four hours later, while patrolling on Fourth Street, Green saw Delosa standing outside a home. She fled inside and grudgingly Green was allowed in by Delosa’s family members.
The officer found Delosa in an upstairs bedroom hiding under a blanket behind a bunk bed. She wasn’t cooperative and gripped the bed frame to prevent Green from handcuffing her.
He pried her hand off and took her into custody, the officer reported. Delosa was charged with operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, violation of condition of release and refusal to submit to an arrest.
