The documentary film “Ocho Candelas” will be presented at Gates Auditorium, College of the Atlantic campus, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3. It features a small Jewish community near Veracruz, Mexico, comprising a mixture of Jews by birth and Jews who believe that they are probably descended from Spanish “hidden Jews.” The film deals with their relationships.
