Proposed law to allow hunting in Moosehorn

BARING – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking public comment on a new rule that would open portions of Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge to migratory game bird, upland game, black bear, bobcat, eastern coyote and moose hunting. The refuge would remain open to the hunting of white-tailed deer during hunting season.

A copy of the rule can be viewed at the refuge office at 103 Headquarters Road in Baring, a town near Woodland, or can be viewed at www.fws.gov/refuges.

Comments will be accepted until Aug. 5 and must be submitted to Chief, Division of Conservation and Planning, National Wildlife Refuge System, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 4401 N. Fairfax Drive, Room 670, Arlington, VA 22203.
