WINTERPORT – Winterport Dragway will be host Saturday of the first Northeast Nostalgia Drag Race.

Sponsored by Tri-County Streetrods of Maine, the day will feature old fashioned, heads up, flag-start drag races for 1964 and older street legal cars.

There will be no classes and no trophies – just bragging rights. Cars from throughout New England are expected to participate. The gates open at 8 a.m. Saturday, and admission is $5. The rain date is Aug. 27.
