PORTLAND – The Portland Pirates will host division rival Providence Bruins on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Portland Ice Arena in a pre-season exhibition game. This will be the Pirates’ only preseason home game before the start of the 2005-06 season on Oct. 8 in Springfield, Mass.

Tickets for the preseason game are on sale now. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for $8 each by calling 828-4665, visiting the Pirates offices at 531 Congress Street in Portland, or online at shop.portlandpirates.com.

The Pirates open their the regular season Saturday, Oct. 8 against Springfield at 7:05 p.m. in Springfield, Mass.
