Wine dining

If you think the rain in Spain is something to sing about, you should try the wine. Opus Restaurant’s next wine dinner, starting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, will feature five Spanish wines and six courses inspired by the region’s cuisine. Opus is located at 193 Broad St. in Bangor. For information or reservations, call 945-5100.

Tea-lightful

Sick of lemonade? Try this recipe for iced apple tea from The Associated Press: Boil 3 cups water. Add 6 tea bags and let stand 15 minutes. Remove tea bags and add 1 teaspoon allspice, 1/3 cup honey and 3 cups apple juice or cider. Simmer over low heat until honey is blended, about 1 minute. Chill. Serve over ice with lemon slices and apple rings, if desired. Makes 5 servings.

Lunch with punch

Jazz up your lunch – whether you’re 5 or 50 – with Pearl River’s stainless-steel thermal lunchbox. It comes with two plastic containers, a fork and a spoon, and costs $22.50. For information or to order (item No. 01-KK-AT1210), visit www.pearlriver.com and click on the kitchenware link or call (800) 878-2446.
