2 Brewer men face charges in Wal-Mart theft More than $10,000 worth of electronics reported stolen

ELLSWORTH – Two Brewer men were indicted by a Hancock County grand jury Tuesday for their alleged roles in the theft of more than $10,000 in electronic and camera equipment from Wal-Mart.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, 29-year-old Shaun D. Gunlock and 21-year-old Kevin M. Kettell were employees of the store when the alleged thefts occurred.

Documents on file at Hancock County Superior Court show the men, who share the same Wilson Street address, are charged with taking digital cameras, MP3 players, Xbox games, DVDs, a photo printer, computer monitors and other equipment between Jan. 1, 2004, and April 13, 2005.

Gunlock faces one theft charge. Kettell is charged with receiving stolen property and hindering apprehension or prosecution. Both are scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 2.

Others indicted Tuesday include:

Marissa N. Beaulieu, 19, Oakland, eluding an officer.

Jennifer A. Beede, 25, Aurora, theft and violating bail.

Matthew Bennoch, 40, Bar Harbor, gross sexual assault and assault. The alleged incident occurred Aug. 20, 2004, in Bar Harbor. The accuser is an adult woman.

Brian Betterton, 41, Verona, theft.

Darren J. Carlow, 29, Orland, eluding an officer, operating under the influence and failing to stop.

Michael G. Crowley, 21, Corea, eluding an officer and failing to stop.

Brian J. Dunbar, 38, Stockton Springs, habitual offender.

Michael W. Frye, 43, Franklin, three counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin.

George A. Gray, 38, Ellsworth, unlawful trafficking and aggravated unlawful furnishing of oxycodone.

Lance A. Harris, 38, Otis, violating bail and habitual offender.

Wayne E. Hinckley, 51, Ellsworth, theft and violating bail.

Patrick B. Kane, 26, Bucksport, assault.

Jeffrey M. Macy, 39, Franklin, aggravated trafficking of cocaine, operating under the influence, violating bail and habitual offender.

Harland S. Masker, 41, Ellsworth, terrorizing, violating bail and three charges of assault.

John W. Massey, 37, Brooklin, driving to endanger, terrorizing, disorderly conduct and habitual offender.

Josef F. Messer, 43, Ellsworth, two counts of theft.

Rosemary Pease, 51, Bucksport, theft.

Ricky L. Robbins, 36, Blue Hill, operating under the influence and habitual offender.

Anthony A. Rotta, 54, Prospect Harbor, forgery, theft by deception and theft.

Jeffrey E. Russell, 24, Bass Harbor, burglary and theft.

Thomas N. Taylor, 22, Surry, assault and two counts of terrorizing.

Mark A. Vallejos, 20, Stonington, criminal threatening, reckless conduct and assault.
