Tatro takes feature Phippen 2nd in Super Street race

HERMON – Shane Tatro of Dixmont took the win in the Super Street makeup feature Saturday at Speedway 95.

Shawn Phippen of Bar Harbor finished second, Deane Smart of Bradley was third, Keith Pierce of Hudson finished fourth and Milford’s Joe Legere was fifth.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Scarborough, Dana Gagnon of Lyman scored his first career NASCAR Sport Series victory on Saturday by holding of Limington’s Beaver Norton. Robbie Dorr of Scarborough finished third, Scarborough’s Chris Smith was fourth, and Chris Warming of Hollis was fifth.

Ben Erskine of Solon held off South China’s Brian Fortin to win the Super Street Triple Crown Series race number three on Saturday night. Mark Dodge of Anson finished third and unofficially won the Triple Crown Series championship. Belgrade’s Hal Stratton was fourth, and Cary Davis of St. Albans finished fifth.

NASCAR Busch North Series

At Oxford, Dave Dion of Hudson, NH broke a four-year winless streak on the NASCAR Busch North Series circuit on Saturday night by dominating the Fisher Snow Plows 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway, the first time the series has returned to the track in 14 years. Scarborough’s Ryan Moore led two laps and finished second, Matt Kobyluck of Uncasville, Conn. was third, Brian Hoar of Williston, VT was fourth, and Cherryfield’s Andy Santerre rounded out the top five.

Kelly Moore of Scarborough finished 14th and Yarmouth’s Bill Penfold was 15th.

Santerre extends his championship points lead over Mike Stefanik of Coventry, RI to 28 points. Stefanik finished eighth on Saturday. Ryan Moore sits fourth in points, 68 points behind Santerre.

Tim Huff of Dover-Foxcroft outran Blue Hill’s Rick Wiseman to capture the Super Pro/Pro Final on Sunday.
