GORHAM – Megan Benevides scored the game-winner off a deflected ball in front of the net with 6:59 left in overtime to give the Gordon College Fighting Scots a 1-0 field hockey win over the University of Southern Maine Thursday
Chayanne Wilson had two saves on six shots for 2-2 Gordon while Sadie Garnache-Porier stopped 11 out of 18 shots for the 1-1 Huskies.

At Bangor, Matt Pickowicz and Daryl Aresco each scored two goals to lead the Unity College Rams to the shutout in men’s college soccer action Thursday.
Ben Shelby scored a goal and John Korkos had two assists for the 1-0 Rams. Tyler Ferguson made three saves on three shots.
Josh Keins made 16 saves on 21 shots for the 0-1 Golden Eagles of Eastern Maine Community College.
