Passenger still in serious condition

PENOBSCOT – A Bangor man injured in an accident remained in serious condition Friday at a Bangor hospital, according to police.

David Joyce, 31, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by another Bangor man, Benjamin B. Tardiff, 26. The vehicle crossed over the centerline on Route 175 in Penobscot and struck a vehicle driven by Beverly Lee, 62, of Brooksville.

Tardiff was killed in the accident. Both Joyce and Lee were taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Lee suffered a broken leg in the accident. Joyce suffered serious head and leg injuries.

Hospital officials had no information on either patient.

The accident remains under investigation.
