A hearty high-five to Kent Ward’s column (BDN, June 16-17) regarding the outcry from our teachers about fingerprinting. He said what I was thinking but didn’t dare to say out loud because I have some good friends who are teachers and highly respect some of our “good” teachers I don’t know.
Our teachers are getting shortchanged in other areas (i.e. salary, health insurance), but fingerprinting? It’s like DNA. Wouldn’t it be better to know I didn’t “do it” than for people to think I did?
