BAR HARBOR – Jake Merchant fed Jeremy Curran with a cross that Curran one-timed into the back of the net in the second half to lift the Mount Desert Island Trojans to a 1-0 schoolboy soccer win over the Ellsworth Eagles Tuesday.
Max Blandford made six saves on 12 shots for 6-5-1 MDI while Cory Smith had three saves on seven shots for 7-4-1 Ellsworth.

Woodland 5, Shead 0
At Woodland, Brandon Tomah scored a goal and added two assists as the Dragons shut out the Tigers of Eastport.
Chad James, Todd Townsend, Jeremy Burke and Brad Arthers each chipped in with a goal for 9-3 Woodland. Ben Sears and Cody Sappier contributed one assist apiece and Craig Moody stopped all nine Shead shots.
Brandon LaPlante made 12 saves on 17 shots for the 5-6-2 Tigers.
Old Town 8, Nokomis 0
At Old Town, Dillon Clark tallied three goals and one assist to lead Old Town to the win.
Hogan Marquis notched a goal and two assists and Nate Lonko one goal and one assist for 5-7 Old Town. Tyler Dufour, Chris Brewer and Corey Fournier chipped in a goal apiece. Ethan Shanley stopped all six shots he faced.
Wayne May made 18 saves on 26 shots for 1-11 Nokomis of Newport.

At Thorndike, Mark Trombley notched a goal and an assist to lead MCI of Pittsfield to the win.
Brandon Glencross, Owen Campbell and Dustin Varney added a goal apiece for the 9-4 Huskies. Tristan Goewey had five saves on nine shots.
Kevin Price and Cody Zane scored for the 5-8 Mustangs. Ethan Jean stopped seven of 13 shots.

At Blue Hill, Phineas Peake scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the Eagles to the win.
Ryan Kurtz, Josh Astbury, Damien Smith, Caleb Owen and Danny Moran each added a goal for 8-2-3 George Stevens. Collin Henry had 11 saves on 12 shots.
Mason Young stopped 15 of 24 shots for 3-10 Sumner of East Sullivan.
Calais 4, Machias 4 (2 OT)
At Calais, Adam Knowles netted two goals in the second half including the equalizing goal for Calais.
Corey Johnson and Sean Chavanaugh each tallied a goal for 10-2-1 Calais and Scott Geel made 12 saves on 19 shots.
Machias’ Zac McNally and Mike Little each scored two goals while Garrett Getchell had 16 saves on 20 shots for the 9-1-2 Bulldogs.
Foxcroft 2, Hermon 2 (2OT)
At Dover-Foxcroft, P.J. Bombero scored the tying goal for Foxcroft 4:00 into the second half.
Victor Codina netted a goal in the first and had the assist on Bombero’s goal. Evan Bridges made 16 saves on 21 shots for 1-10-2 Foxcroft.
Joey Carmichael and Ryan Kimball each scored a goal while Josh Blaine had five saves on 11 shots for 6-6-1 Hermon.

Ellsworth 2, GSA 1 (2OT)
At Blue Hill, Emily Baranello’s second goal of the game, coming in the second overtime, led Ellsworth past George Stevens Academy.
Baranello’s first goal was scored with 10:00 left in the first off a pass from Cassie Cloak. Catie Cravens made six saves on 14 shots for the 10-2-1 Eagles.
Laura Overton scored the tying goal for 9-3-2 George Stevens with 5:45 left in the first on an assist from Robin Rioux. Kayla Eaton had 11 saves on 20 shots.
Shead 2, Calvary Chapel 1
At Eastport, Whitney Remington headed in a pass from Fawn Cummings with 12:31 left in regulation to lift the Tigerettes to the win.
Cummings scored earlier in the match for 6-5-1 Shead. Dorothy Pottle saved four of five shots.
Ashley Garcia scored for the Sabers of Orrington, now 4-8. Hannah Lacadie had five saves on seven shots.
Bangor Chr. 6, Sumner 2
At East Sullivan, Amber Leathers scored three goals as Bangor Christian improved its record to 11-2.
Morgan Chasse added two goals and Megan McDougall one for the Patriots, while Brooke Hale contributed an assist. Libbey Long made eight saves on 10 shots.
Lona Sargent scored twice for 2-11 Sumner, on assists from Jen Arey and Holly Stanwood. Whitney Page made 22 saves on 28 shots.
Camden Hills 3, Lincoln Acad. 1
At Camden, Tana Scott scored two goals, both in the second half to lift the Windjammers to victory.
Lexi Coleman chipped in with a goal for the winners. Jessie Colson made two saves on nine shots.
Ali Mehlhorn scored the lone goal for the Eagles of Newcastle. Alex Donald stopped four of 13 shots.

At Guilford, Jacklyn Crouse scored the winning goal off a cross from sister Jessica Crouse with 26:00 remaining in the first half.
Jill Martell made 20 saves on 20 shots for 4-8-1 Piscataquis while Kimberly LeBlanc had 11 saves on 12 shots for the 4-7-1 Red Devils of Corinth.

At Hermon, Lindsey Colbath tallied three goals as Orono shut out the Hermon Hawks.
Kate Kirby scored two goals and Shaylee Moulton had one while Heather Woodbury and Brittany Pinkham combined for seven saves on 10 shots.
Ashley Kelley had three saves on 14 shots for 0-12-1 Hermon.

At Winslow, Jillian Ross knocked in four goals as the Lions finished the regular season 14-0.
Brooke Reed, Jamie Flagg and Skye Ellis each had one goal and one assist while Kelsey Jackson had two assists for Belfast. Liz Anderson stopped both shots she faced.
Emma Watters blocked 13 of 20 shots for the 8-6 Black Raiders.

At Bangor, Alissa Hamilton and Darci Greenacre each scored a goal in the first half to help lead Hampden by John Bapst.
Tini Lumino scored on an assist from Anna Lataille, and Greenacre’s goal was assisted by Shaina Dennis. Katie Hessert made 13 saves on 15 shots for 10-3-1 Hampden.
Marci Scofield scored on a penalty stroke in the second while Hilary Laferriere had 11 saves on 15 shots for 12-2 John Bapst.

At Old Town, Alison Berg tallied two goals and one assist to lead the Warriors of Newport to victory.
Lauren Lancaster added a goal for 5-8-1 Nokomis. Beth Flanders stopped all eight shots she faced.
Kitty Campbell and Karey Littlefield combined for seven saves on 10 shots for 1-12-1 Old Town.
