NORTHPORT – Retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Dennis J. Murphy will be guest speaker at the Midcoast Marine Corps League’s dinner celebrating the corps’ 230th anniversary.

Murphy served as assistant division commander of the 2nd Marine Division, assistant chief of staff for combined forces in Korea, and head of training for Marine Corps forces.

The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the MBNA Conference Center in Northport.
