BANGOR – Kyle James scored off a Shane Coffin corner kick at 98:14 to break the 1-1 tie in overtime and give Husson College a 2-1 men’s soccer victory over Maine Maritime Academy.

Kliton Khemali tied the game at 70:23 for 9-5-2 Husson. Chris Jackson made six saves on 11 shots.

Ben Tourangeau scored at 26:50 for Maine Maritime Academy of Castine. Josh Heath stopped 14 of 18 shots.

Field hockey

Husson 7, Wheelock 0

At Bangor, KaroleAnne Emery scored three goals and assisted on two others to lead Husson College to victory.

Sara McIntire added two goals for the 6-8 Eagles and Erin Brown had a goal and an assist. Erin Nason scored a goal as Kelly Bocchino stopped all three shots.

Heather Murray made 19 saves on 29 shots for 0-12 Wheelock College.

Volleyball

Albany 3, Maine 0

At Orono, Blair Buchanan had 32 set assists and 12 digs to help lead University at Albany past the University of Maine 30-28, 30-27, 30-26 in America East action.

Ashley Hunter had 20 kills for 18-3 Albany and Ashley DeNeal added 24 digs.

Shelly Seipp had 38 set assists and 10 digs for the 6-11 Black Bears and Shannan Fotter had 15 kills. Lindsay Allman and Jody Connacher both had 13 digs.

Leah Guidinger had 12 kills and Kaili Jordan added 11 kills.
