Rebecca Giroux was forced to make only one save while facing eight shots for the 12-5 University of Maine.
Deidre Crovo made seven saves and the defense added three stops for 3-11 Georgetown, which faced 22 UMaine shots.

At Baltimore, Kim McDonald scored a goal and assisted on another to help the Black bears improve to 11-5 on Saturday.
Joanna Fernandes and Kirsten Costa added goals for Maine. Rebecca Giroux saved two of five shots, capturing the shutout.

At Bangor on Sunday, Erin Nason scored on the rebound of a Sara McIntire shot with 11:25 left in the first half, giving the Eagles the lead for good.
KaroleAnne Emery tipped in a long shot by Erin Brown 1:11 into the game and McIntire scored an insurance tally off a Michelle Barden assist. Kelly Bocchino made four saves on 11 shots for Husson, which clinched a spot in the North Atlantic Conference playoffs.
Katie Bryers scored for Lasell, while Linda Williams made seven saves on 13 shots.

At Farmington, Cori Eggert scored scored a breakaway goal at the 22:20 mark of the first half Saturday to lead Western New England College by University of Maine-Farmington.
Jillian Brown faced 24 shots and made 19 saves for 15-3 Western New England. Kaeleigh Barker made three saves on four shots for the 9-5 Beavers.

At Gorham, Lisa Henley and Erica Brown each scored a goal to lead the University of Southern Maine by Western Connecticut State.
Henley scored off a pass from Kayla Vaughan 2:55 into the game. Brown scored off a cross from defender Denise Minigell 13 minutes into the second half.
Sadie Garnache-Poirier and Natalie Nimon combined for four saves on four shots for the 5-10 Huskies. Ashley Quinn made 18 saves on 24 shots for the 1-11 Colonials.

At Waterville on Saturday, Cindy Bouchard scored the game-winning goal with 18 minutes left in regulation to lift the Terriers to victory.
Kim Drosdik and Amy Miles each tallied scores for 5-6 Thomas.
Jamie Bell notched both goals for 7-8 Castleton State.

At New London, Conn., Alex Albright tallied a first-half score and assisted on the game-winner, leading the Camels to victory on Saturday.
Jill Mauer picked up the game-winning goal. Ashley Kenerson made four saves on nine shots for 7-5 Connecticut College.
Jennifer Reilly notched an unassisted score for the 4-7 White Mules. Jamie Enos stopped nine of 12 shots.

At North Dartmouth, Mass., Amy McGillicuddy scored an unassisted goal less than two minutes into the second overtime Saturday as the hosts slipped by the Huskies.
Robin Dziedzic notched the first goal for the 7-7 Corsairs. Elizabeth Fitzgerald made six stops on 10 shots.
Alyssa Kraus tied the game up to start the second period when she scored off an Irene Coleman assist. Sadie Garnache-Poirier saved 27 of 37 shots for 5-10 Southern Maine of Gorham.

At Norton, Mass., Sara Dimick and Lauren Connolly each tallied two goals Saturday to help blank the Monks.

At Orono on Sunday, Heather Hathorn scored from 15 yards out at 7:55 of the first half, giving the Black Bears the only goal they would need to earn the America East victory.
Brittany Saisselin assisted on the Hathorn goal for the University of Maine, which improved to 11-5-1 overall, 6-1-1 in league play. Laura Harper scored on a breakaway late in the first half for the Bears to back Tanya Adorno, who made four saves to earn the shutout.
Catie Bukowski made one saves and allowed both goals before giving way to Christine Bacinski (five saves) in the second half.

At Chicopee, Mass., Olivia Irons notched a goal in the first period for the 9-4-3 Beavers, in a game that ended in a double-overtime tie on Saturday.
Chelsea Rose provided the Blazers’ tying goal in the first half. Lauren Stauch made six saves on 12 shots for 7-5-2 Elms.
UMaine-Farmington’s Melissa Demerchant stopped four of eight attempts.

At Standish, Mike Hoffman tallied four goals as the Eagles cruised to victory Sunday over the 4-10-1 Monks.
Shane Coffin added a goal and four assists, while Jeffrey Truchon netted two. Kyle James and Oscar Ody also had scores for 10-5-2 Husson of Bangor. Chris Jackson and Dana Bellemare combined to save five of seven shots.
Lane Hubacz and Kevin Melega notched the goals for Saint Joseph’s. Davis Rosquete made 16 saves on 26 shots.

At Chicopee, Mass., Kellen Brown scored a first-period goal for the 3-7-3 Beavers in a Saturday match that resulted in a tie.
Vuthy Chhum connected on a penalty kick in the second half to tie the game for 2-10-3 Elms. Nick Pellegrini made 10 saves on 26 shots.
Brian Lemont stopped three of 12 attempts for UMaine-Farmington.

At Leicester, Mass., Joe Conway booted a pair of goals to help the 4-7-3 Beavers to victory Sunday.
Andy Knox and Brian Broderick also recorded scores. Brian Lemont saved 20 of 16 shots for the Beavers.
The Hawk goal came from Jason Gianatti. Chris Kirwan made eight saves on 12 shots for 4-9-3 Becker.

At Presque Isle on Sunday, Brice Helstrom scored the game-winning goal and assisted on another as the 4-5-1 Clippers inched by the Owls.
Helstrom’s goal came with five minutes left in regulation when UMaine-Presque Isle’s keeper slipped on the wet grass and the ball went over his head. Chris Correll and Howard Gray provided the first-half goals.
Zach Sheller stopped two of four shots for the Clippers.
For 6-7-1 UMPI, Travis Parent and Ryan Scott notched first-half goals. Scott Clenchy made four saves on seven shots.

At Fort Kent on Saturday, Rob Rochester’s two-goal effort sparked UMaine-Fort Kent to a Sunrise Conference victory over UMaine-Machias.
Miguel Roman-Gomez and Jamie Rodriguez scored a goal each for the Bengals (6-6-1, 3-1 Sunrise) while Noe Aparicio handed out three assists. Nicholas Thibodeau made nine saves on 13 shots to post the shutout.
Zach Sheller made eight saves on 27 shots for the Mariners (3-6-1, 1-3 Sunrise).

At Castine on Saturday, Ben Tourangeau recorded a hat trick to lead the Mariners to the win.
Andy Pease and Matt Zeh also had scores for 8-5-2 MMA, while Chad McDuffie and Anthony Blair each added two assists.
Matt Petrie booted a goal in the first half for 6-6-1 UMaine-Presque Isle, with Travis Parent picking up the assist.

Bobby Abendroth scored Colby’s first goal, unassisted, five minutes into the game to give 7-6 Colby an early lead. Josh Kahane made two saves on nine shots.
David Kellogg notched the tying goal 13 minutes into the game for 4-8 Connecticut College. Ted Lane stopped 12 of 14 shots.

At Alfond Arena in Orono on Saturday, Kelly Law’s shot from the left circle 2:25 into overtime deflected off a defender and into the net, giving the Black Bears the victory.
Shari Wauters assisted on the game-winner for 3-2 UMaine.
Genevieve Turgeon registered the shutout, making 20 saves.
Kaitlyn Shain piled up 48 saves in a losing cuase for 1-2 Connecticut.
Maine 1, Northeastern 1 (OT)
At Alfond Arena in Orono, Nikki Petrich scored off assists from Amy Goodney and Crystal Rochon with 2:25 remaining, helping the Huskies earn a Hockey East tie against the Black Bears on Sunday.
Katie Sunstrum had staked UMaine (3-2-1) to a 1-0 lead at 6:46 of the second period when she scored a power-play goal off a Kim Meagher assist.
Lundy Day made 20 saves for the Bears, while Marissa Bourihan had 22 stops for Northeastern (1-3-1).

Maine sweeps Hartford
At West Hartford, Conn., on Sunday, Shannan Fotter posted 15 kills to help the Black Bears snap a three-match losing streak by beating the Hawks 31-29, 30-7, 30-23 in America East action.
Kaili Jordan had 10 kills, Shelly Seipp registered 38 assists and Lindsay Allman came up with 15 digs for UMaine, which improved to 7-11 overall, 4-3 in league play.
Mary Francis Feldman led Hartford (8-16, 0-7 AE) with nine kills and 11 digs. Brianne Paulson had 25 assists.
