Golden Eagles topple Rebels

BANGOR – Jason Bones scored 17 points and Jake Manner 16 as Eastern Maine Community College downed the University of Maine-Augusta 82-56 in men’s basketball Tuesday night at Johnston Gymnasium.

Tyler Erickson added 15 points for the Golden Eagles, Olie Lindhal had 11, and Ben Maloney had 10 plus a team-high 17 rebounds.

Jon Hill led the Rebels with a game-high 21 points, Dustin Paige contributed 14, and Nick Hanson had 10.

At Bangor, Katie Harris scored 18 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and notched 11 assists to lead Eastern Maine Community College by UMaine- Augusta.

Kayla Korchendofer chipped in with 25 points for the winners while Devon Schwab and Jessica Hanson each added 16.

Amanda Pepin paced UMA with 18 points and Patty Hastings put in 11.
