GLENBURN – Glenburn-Levant piled up eight runs in the second inning and added five more in the sixth en route to a 13-10 victory over Old Town in the Little League All-Star softball action for ages 11-12 Saturday.
Samantha Besse and Cricket Munson collected a triple and a single each for Glenburn-Levant while Megan Quintal added a double and a single. Crista Getchell and Jill Irish each doubled.
Holly Higgins and Amanda Heath rapped two singles apiece for Old Town.
Glenburn-Levant moves into the winners bracket and will take on Bangor West at Glenburn on Thursday. Old Town faces Holbrook on Monday.

At Hampden, Katelyn Tunney’s four singles led Hampden over Lincoln in an 11-12 year-old little league softball playoff game.
Michelle Wells added two singles and a triple for Hampden while Amanda Parker singled and tripled. Both Tara Utecht and Ashley Gott ripped two singles.
Kristy Burleigh led the Lincoln attack with a triple and a single. Danielle Nicastro ripped a double and a single and Laura Ward cranked two singles.
