Young sparks Orono victory Bapst, Nokomis notch wins

ORONO – Lauren Young scored 11 points and added six rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots to lead the unbeaten Orono Red Riots to a 46-29 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Searsport Vikings Saturday.

Emily Artesani added eight points for Orono, while Emily Sypher had seven points and seven rebounds and Heather Woodbrey had six points and nine rebounds.

Amanda Chaney led Searsport with eight points.
