Violette leads Fort Kent past Van Buren Presque Isle rolls over Hermon

VAN BUREN – Kristin Violette scored 10 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter as Fort Kent pulled away for a 53-43 schoolgirl basketball win over Van Buren Friday night.

Violette made 12 of 17 free-throw tries en route to her big scoring night. Marissa Albert added 17 points for the Warriors.

Alexis Gereben led Van Buren with 14 points, while Megan Lajoie added 12 points, six rebounds and four assists and Lisa Levasseur chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.
