Blakney leads Washburn to overtime win

WASHBURN – Tabitha Blakney and Chelsea McLaughlin each scored six points as the Washburn Beavers outscored the Central Aroostook Panthers 15-3 in overtime to earn a 57-46 high school girls basketball win Thursday night.

Rashell Saucier led Washburn with 16 points and Alex Bird netted 15 while Blakney and McLaughlin finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Sarah Long tossed in a game-high 26 points for Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.
