Maine receives $9M to aid homeless people

AUGUSTA – Maine has been awarded $9 million by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide housing opportunities to homeless people across the state.

More than $5.2 million distributed through the Maine State Housing Authority includes Emergency Shelter Grants that provide operating expenses for emergency shelters in Maine.
