Kriunas, Parker power UMFK men to victory

POULTNEY, Vt. – Rytis Kriunas scored 16 points Thursday as the University of Maine-Fort Kent posted a 70-62 victory over Green Mountain College in the Green Mountain Tournament.

The Bengals fell to the Albany College of Pharmacy 63-59 Wednesday.

On Thursday, Darius Parker connected for 15 points for UMFK.

Adam Fisher led the hosts with 24 points.

On Wednesday, ACP center John Adamchick sank four free throws in the final minute to seal the win for the Panthers.

Eddie Austin led the Bengals with 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Rytis Kriunas scored 14.

At Waterville Wednesday, Tyler Muzzy tallied 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Husson College of Bangor to victory.

Phil White added 16 points and Buddy Leavitt 14 for the Eagles.

Aecio Madeira paced the Terriers with 22 points, and James Godley scored 16.

Kim Drosdik added 17 for the Terriers.

Chelsea Dow paced the Eagles with 17 points and Jenny Rollins scored 11.

St. Joe’s 58, UM-Fort Kent 44

At Fort Kent on Wednesday, Kaylin Regula scored a game-high 16 points to pace the Monks of Standish.

Yoandree Jacques added 14 points and 15 rebounds for Saint Joseph’s.

Nicole Corbin scored 12 points for the Bengals and Arcilla Jeffers posted 11 points and 11 rebounds.
