Bapst beats MDI Crusaders rally past Trojans

BANGOR – The John Bapst Crusaders limited the Mount Desert Island Trojans to four fourth-quarter points while overcoming a four-point deficit after three quarters to earn a 40-35 schoolgirl basketball victory Tuesday.

Hillary Laferriere scored six of her 14 points in the fourth quarter for John Bapst, while Lauren Nichols tallied 11 points.

Lindsey Lewis paced Mount Desert Island with 14 points.
