If Dirigo Heath is such a great insurance plan I would like to know why the governor and state legislators are not signing up for it. That does not even go to say why the state workers and Maine Teachers Association employees are not lining up to sign on to this. If you are going to be in the business of selling something to the public, you first need to be a client of the product.

How can you tell others how good a product is and be believable? You have to use it and know for a fact how well it performs.

Until the governor announces that he and the legislators are enrolled into Dirigo, they need to stop advertising this plan. When the school union representatives come forward and state publicly that all their members are going onto the plan then they should not be endorsing Dirigo.

And finally, until the media employees are enrolled into Dirigo and satisfied that it is a good plan then it is the media’s job to cover the stories in an unbiased fashion and report the good with the bad.
